Sweet 'n Sassy's June Rose

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps has a wonderful line of stamps and I am so drawn to their flowers.  This is one of their new acrylic stamps that Korin is offering this month. It also comes with 4 other sentiments besides the one on my card today.  I had so much fun coloring it with my Copics.  In my mind it started to be a pink rose but the Copics I reached for were a much deeper pink, so deep it turned out red!  So pretty!!! I love the result and am thinking that this rose would make so many wonderful cards.  I would love to try to make a yellow or a purple rose.  When my mother was dying my brother traveled four hours every week to be with her. Each time carrying a bouquet of purple roses as she loved purple.

I made this card with The Sweet Stop sketch from last week.  Each Saturday they have a new sketch  and a prize.  This week the prize is a $10.00 Gift certificate to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps store.  The sketch for this week is below and the challenge is  a sketch with a spin: decorate your card inside and out.
You can upload your card HERE.  Sweet 'n Sassy is also a sponsor for Christian Paper Crafts which is coming out with on online magazine soon. Stay tuned!

Today's Blessing: There have been so many big storms lately and it looked like we were going to have our turn last night.  The wind started to blow, we rushed out to bring in the patio furniture and awning, and just as we finished... the storm skirted right around us. So glad that we dodged the bullet this time but others were not so lucky as some major trees fell.

Thanks for stopping by,
Randi
